About Comet Drama

Comet Drama was born out of a simple but powerful belief, that every child deserves to feel confident, seen, and celebrated. We're not about producing perfect performers. We're about giving children a safe, joyful space to express themselves, try new things, and discover just how brilliant they really are.

Hi, I'm Lucy

Founder and principal of Comet Drama.

I trained in Musical Theatre at the Urdang Academy London and the Performance Preparation Academy in Guildford, and I've spent the last six years teaching drama and dance to children of all ages. Along the way, the biggest lesson I've learned isn't about technique. It's that the most important thing you can give a child is the space to be themselves.

That's exactly what I wanted Comet Drama to be: a safe, joyful place where children feel free to express themselves, grow in confidence, and build the kind of creativity that stays with them for life. And most importantly, have fun doing it!

Everything we do at Comet Drama comes back to these five things:

Confidence - We build it gently and genuinely. Not through pressure, but through encouragement, play, and giving every child their moment in the spotlight.

Confidence - Pink circle background with a white crown icon in the center.

Life Skills - Drama teaches so much more than performance. Teamwork, empathy, resilience, communication, skills that follow children far beyond the stage.

Life Skills - A blue circular icon with a white light bulb in the center, surrounded by radiating lines indicating illumination.

Fun - Seriously, this is non-negotiable. If the children aren't enjoying themselves, we're not doing our job. Every session is designed to be the highlight of their week.

Fun - White human figure with arms raised, surrounded by six smaller white circles, all on a purple circular background.

Creativity - We give children the freedom to explore, experiment, and be completely themselves. There are no wrong answers here.

Inclusivity - Every child is welcome. Every child belongs. Whether they're naturally outgoing or quietly finding their feet, they will be valued here.
